Winter Activities . . .
From the apartment, a short walk (200m) up to the Tracouet main lift station opens up all options. From Tracouet station plenty of intermediate and beginner slopes are available. Or couple of warm-up runs can have you linking into the more difficult areas of the 4Vallees and up towards Tortin and Mont Fort or easily over to Verbier.
The other option is to take the all-inclusive Nendaz bus service (there,s a bus stop right down in front of the apartment) which links to the free service to take you around to Siviez (15 minute ride) right in the heart of the more serious 4 Vallees skiing.

Freeride
The new term for off-piste, is above all a state of mind that unites skiers and snowboarders. In admiration of the freedom to glide off the beaten track and an invitation to commune with the environment in which we evolve, it’s a real return to nature. The freerider experiences happiness in tracing the slopes and playing with the environment: powder snow, lanes, ledges and rocky rails.
Safety
The following basic safety rules must be respected as soon as you stray from the marked out pistes:
1. Be informed of snow and weather conditions (mainly of
avalanche risk and bad weather).
2. Never go out alone and let somebody know that you are
going and what your intended itinerary is.
3. Make sure you know where you are going or that you are
accompanied by a mountain professional.
4. Ski far apart from each other in order to avoid
overloading the blanket of snow.
5. Be well equipped when going off-piste. In this respect, a
freerider’s bag must at least contain a shovel and a
drill as well as a device for avalanche victim recovery.
